Purchasing a Home Information Pack (HIPs)

Green and Company Estate Agents can offer a bespoke Home Information Pack service. Due to the large number of HIPs that Green and Company order every day we are able to offer them to you    (even if you are not selling through us) from as little as £299 plus VAT.

Your HIP will be ordered on the day that we receive your instructions to compile your HIP. When our HIP provider confirms that they have received our order you will receive a SMS text and or e-mail to confirm that our service provider has commenced the compilation of the HIP.

During the compilation of the HIP you will receive a call from a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) to arrange access to your home. It is vital that you try to ensure that this access is granted as quickly as possible. The assessment will take between thirty minutes and two hours depending on property size. It is preferable for the homeowner to be present during the assessment to answer any questions the DEA might have. The DEA will then produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) that will be included in the HIP.

Evidence of title for your home will also be requested. Provided your home is registered (most properties are) then this will be a straightforward process and this information will be obtained from the land registry. If your property is not registered then our HIP provider will obtain all of the necessary information required.

We will also produce an Index and Sale Statement for your HIP.

A local and water authority search will also be required and again this will be ordered on your behalf.

If you own a Leasehold property we will need to obtain a copy of your lease. Our HIP provider will discuss this with you.

Our HIPs are completely portable and all of the information required for your HIP will be compiled under the strict guidelines laid out by the government. All of our HIPs are completely portable and can be used by any Estate Agent to sell your home.

You can purchase our HIPs by way of an up front payment or you can take advantage of our 10 month deferred payment option.
