Getting in the spirit of the Community Games

Green & Co staff got in the spirit of the Sutton Coldfield Community Games, tempting budding young footballers with a football challenge at the weekend event.
A huge team made up from our branches across Sutton Coldfield, Castle Bromwich, Tamworth and Great Barr gave up their time to host the football-themed fun at the community event, which gave people the opportunity to try more than 60 sports for free at Wyndley Leisure Centre.
Youngsters – and their parents – had the chance to claim t-shirts and footballs by kicking balls through a series of holes in a Green & Co ‘house’.
Paul Ivens, director at Green & Co, said: “As a trusted, local agent we believe it’s vital that we play an active part in the local community and that’s why we support initiatives like the Sutton Coldfield Community Games, as well as sponsoring a number of local sports clubs and other events such as the Rotary Junior Community Award.
“It was a fantastic event again and we were pleased that the football challenge proved so popular, just as it did last year.”
Dennis Kennedy, founder of the Sutton Games, said: “Without local sponsors like Green & Co, the Sutton Coldfield Community Games simply wouldn’t happen. We’re extremely grateful to Green & Co and all of its staff across the branches, who have put in a lot of time and effort to help keep the Games a free event for local people.”
