Green & Co Spread a Little New Year Joy to Two Vendors
Thu 28 Jan 2016
Green & Co has announced the names of two vendors who have won a draw to receive their fee for free.
During November and December last year, the trusted local property experts invited those vendors who instructed Green & Co to sell their property to enter their details into a draw to win their fees for free. Directors Chris Green and Paul Ivens have now drawn two names out of the hat. The vendors selected will have their fee waived as the company has already successfully sold both properties.
Paul Ivens explains: “We were delighted to offer two of our vendors their fees for free as a reward for getting their property on the market at this key time of year. Both our winners instructed us before Christmas which put them in a brilliant position for selling their homes in the New Year.
“As it was, the strong local knowledge and expertise of our Great Barr and Tamworth branches combined with our robust database meant we were able to arrange viewings very quickly and both properties sold almost immediately.”
Mrs Patricia Perry instructed Green &Co to sell her house on Salters Lane in Tamworth in December.
She said: “I put the property on the market with Green & Co and I had six viewings within six days and it had sold in eight days. I was impressed with Green &Co - they were so professional. I felt completely supported and in good hands with the Tamworth office as everyone is so friendly and efficient. Everyone knows who you are when you call or visit the office and the team is so well trained - even the Saturday staff.
“The icing on the cake was learning that I would receive my fees for free. I was so excited to win this lovely prize and I’m going to spend the money on new items and some lovely curtains for my new home.”
The other winner, Sandra Hill, approached Green & Co to market her property in Great Barr and at first she wanted to keep it low profile. Mrs Hill hadn’t seen the property she wanted to buy yet and wanted time to think about her next move.
But one Monday in November she made a call to Green & Co and set the wheels in motion.
She said: “I was a little tentative about selling at first because I hadn’t seen anything I wanted, but I knew I had to start the process. Green & Co were excellent and understood exactly how I wanted to work.
“Then, when I saw the house I wanted to buy just round the corner from my daughter, I rang Green & Co and asked them to go ahead and sell my house in Courtenay Road. I was amazed how quickly they worked. They arranged three viewings for me almost immediately.
“The Green & Co team did the viewings for me and I received two offers of the asking price. Green & Co went back to the people who made the offers and one came back with an extra £1,000 on top of the asking price. I couldn’t have been more pleased.
“Then a few days later I had a call from Green & Co to say that they had more good news for me. I had been entered into a draw and my name had been selected to receive my fees for free! I couldn’t believe it. I am so delighted with the service I have received from Green & Co and now I have extra budget to spend on my new property!”
Paul Ivens adds: “If you are looking to sell your home in 2016 there is still time to take advantage of this buoyant New Year market.
“We always recommend you have market appraisals from three agents, so you can get a true picture of the value of your home and make an informed decision about who to go with. Make sure you know what an agent offers in terms of service and what you get for your fee. Green & Co valuers always supply customers with an at-a-glance guide to what all local agents offer for their fee.”
