Better homes for Britain
Wed 04 Jul 2012
As part of their five year partnership, British Gas and Shelter, the housing charity, have unveiled a 'better homes for Britain' campaign which will help them to raise the standard of one million rental properties in the UK's private rental sector; assist private landlords in meeting the minimum standard for private rental properties and make policy recommendations to improve overall standards in the sector. They will also conduct the largest census of private tenants ever recorded. Chief Executive of Shelter, Campbell Robb, commented on homemove.co.uk that: "Together with British Gas, we'll have the scale and reach to improve the condition of a million homes and set out the policy reform we need to improve our private rental sector for good."
