More promising signs from local market
Thu 18 Aug 2016
We are pleased to report more promising signs of activity in the local housing market, quashing concerns that Brexit would cause a dip in house sales.
After securing a high number of sales in recent weeks, we need more homes to sell – and with buyer demand outstripping the supply of homes, it could be a fantastic time to put your property on the market.
In the first two weeks of August alone, Green & Co agreed in excess of 70 sales (subject to contract) on properties across its network of seven sales branches in and around Sutton Coldfield. We also carried out 747 viewings and registered 562 new applicants looking to buy a home – which goes some way to demonstrate the demand from local home buyers.
Now we are offering incentives to anybody looking to put their home on the market before the end of August as we seek to list more properties in order to meet buyer demand.
Paul Ivens, director at Green & Co, said: “Understandably there has been some hesitation from sellers as people wait to see what happens after the Brexit vote, but one thing is certain; it hasn’t affected demand from buyers.
“People will always be looking to move and with buyers queuing up to view the right property, there might not be a better time to put your home on the market.”
Anybody who instructs Green & Co to sell their home before the end of August can claim a discount on their fees. Call our dedicated Customer Care team on 0121 296 1400 for more information.
