The safety of our customers and colleagues is of paramount importance. Below we outline our guidelines to help conquer COVID-19.
We will ensure that our staff are fit and healthy before attending the workplace, and they have not shown any signs of illness within the past two weeks that relate to COVID-19.
Our branches
- Social distancing measures must be adhered to at all times.
- Entrance doors will remain locked, and all branch visits will be on an appointment-only basis.
- Staff will wear a mask when a client is present or from behind a screen sitting at a desk.
- Only one client or one couple will be permitted inside the office at any one time.
When we contact a client to book an appointment we will enquire if they or their family are showing or have shown any sign of illness. If this is the case, a discussion will take place to ascertain if the appointment should be booked or delayed.
When booking an appointment, we will explain the procedure that our clients need to follow to ensure that all parties follow the social distancing guidelines issued by the Government.
We will endeavour to limit appointments to fifteen minutes although this may not be possible on property appraisals; safety checks, repairs and if the property offers extensive accommodation.
How we will carry out a Market Appraisal
- The purpose of the appointment will be to allow our employee to appraise your home, measure rooms, prepare a floor plan and take photographs.
- Our employee will be wearing a mask and gloves.
- Social distancing measures will be adhered to at all times.
- If you prefer our conversation at your home can be limited. However, we will follow up the appointment over the phone at a mutually convenient time to discuss our recommendations about the asking price, market conditions and answer any questions that you may have about our services and market conditions. Alternatively, we can sit down and discuss the appointment provided we retain a two-metre gap, and you are happy for our employee to remove their mask.
How we recommend, viewings are conducted.
- We will actively encourage potential buyers to view properties virtually and then only physically inspect your home if they are very interested.
- The viewer will be informed of the following guidelines before the appointment takes place.
- Social distancing measures must be adhered to at all times. Before the appointment, we recommend that all the internal doors and cupboards are left open to negate the need for the viewer to touch surfaces.
- We recommend that all parties wear masks.
- We recommend meeting the viewer outside the front of the property and remind them not to touch anything inside the property.
- We recommend that you permit a maximum of two viewers inside the property at any one time.
- Apart from the need to acknowledge a viewer from a common courtesy point of view, we recommend that all conversations should be conducted outside. Preference should be given to a follow-up call by the agent after the viewing has taken place.
- After the appointment, we recommend that you should wash your hands and sanitise any areas that the viewer might have touched.
How we will carry out a Property Maintenance Visits and Inspections.
- We will wear a mask and where appropriate, we will also wear disposable gloves.
- We will ask the tenant to leave all internal doors open, including cupboard doors. We will explain social distancing measures such as two meters apart or ask the tenant to position themselves in another room or outside while the member of staff/contractor is inside if this is appropriate.
- We will endeavour to limit property management visits and inspections to 15 minutes, although this may not be possible on some appointments due to the repair required and or the size of the property.
- While practising social distancing, we will discuss the findings of the visit to endeavour to agree if any works are required from either party.
- Not all property inspections can or will take place with the tenant in attendance. This is standard practice, and we will carry out the same inspection without the tenants present and follow up all our finding via the phone and or email. We may take photographs and or videos of certain areas or items as required.
- After the appointment, we recommend that you should wash your hands and sanitise any areas that the viewer might have touched.
