Referral Fees and Shared Commissions
A referral fee is any commission, payment, fee, or other reward we receive from other companies in return for recommending their services to you. We believe you should know how much we stand to receive each time we make a referral and whether these companies are connected to us. This way, you can make an informed decision whether to use them or use a company of your own choice.
Green and Co (Sales) Ltd
Service - Conveyancing Services
Company - Movereports
Declaration - We recommend sellers and/or potential buyers' solicitors on this Provider’s approved panel.
Connection to Green and Co (Sales) Ltd - none
Referral fee - We receive a referral fee of up to £300 (plus VAT) from Movereports for each sale/purchase, or re-mortgage completed. We do not receive any referral fee from the solicitor firms, but our staff may individually receive a £10 shopping voucher.
Service - Energy Performance Certificates
Company - We use several approved independent companies to issue Energy Performance Certificates.
Declaration - We recommend vendors who are required by law to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate to use the services of these companies.
Connection to Green and Co - none
Referral fee - We receive a referral fee of up to £30 (plus VAT) for each completed certificate
Service - Mortgages and Financial Services
Company - Green and Co (FS) Ltd
Declaration - We recommend vendors and purchasers who require mortgage and protection policies to use this company.
Connection to Green and Co (Sales) Ltd - Green and Co (FS) Ltd Directors are also Directors in Green and Co (Sales) Ltd.
Referral Fee - We do not receive any referral fee for recommending you to Green and Co (FS) Ltd, but their income from referrals and expenses are shared within the Group structure, and our staff receive commissions of up to £50 for each referral that proceeds to completion.
Service - Surveys
Company - Green and Co (Commercial) Ltd and various independent companies
Declaration - We recommend vendors and purchasers who require a survey to use these companies.
Connection to Green and Co (Sales) Ltd - Green and Co (Commercial) Ltd Directors are also Directors in Green and Co (Sales) Ltd. Connection to independent companies - none.
Referral Fee - We do not receive any referral fee for recommending you to Green and Co (PS) Ltd, but their income from referrals and expenses are shared within the Group structure, and our staff receive commissions of up to £25 for each referral that proceeds to completion. If a property is connected to a sale of Green and Co (Sales) Ltd and we have referred a client to an independent company, Green and Co (Sales) could receive a referral fee of up to £100 (plus VAT)
Service - Removal and Storage Services
Company - We use a number of approved independent companies.
Declaration - We recommend vendors and purchasers who require a removal company and/or storage services to use these companies.
Connection to Green and Co (Sales) Ltd - none
Referral Fee - We do not receive any referral fee for recommending you to any of these companies, although our staff may receive a referral commission of up to £50 for each referral that proceeds to completion.
Shared Commission
Service - Auctions
Company - I Am Sold Ltd
Declaration - We refer vendors who instruct us to sell their property by way of auction to use this company in conjunction with ourselves.

Referral Fee - We do not receive a referral fee, but we may enter into a split commission arrangement on a 50/50 basis (plus VAT) where the referral results in a sale of the property at auction.

Declaration – We recommend landlords who require rent and legal cover use this service, as it provides an extra layer of protection when entering into a tenancy with tenants.

Referral fee - We receive a referral fee of up to 5% (Inc. VAT) of the amount of the rental income per calendar month
Service – Contents and Liability Insurance

Declaration – We recommend tenants who require contents and legal insurance to use this service, as it gives them an extra layer of protection when entering a tenancy

Referral fee - We receive a referral fee of up to £5.00 (Inc. VAT) per month for each policy that is taken out
Service - Contractors
Company – Various trade contractors, e.g. electricians, plumbers, gas engineers, etc.
Declaration – this service is included within our fully managed package and is mentioned within our terms of business with landlords.
Connection to Green and Co (Lettings) Ltd – none
Referral fee – We receive a referral fee of up to 18% (Inc. VAT) that may be charged to some contractors in return for them being preferred contractors.
Service – Providing an EPC
Company – Various companies
Declaration – We recommend landlords who are required by law to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate to use the services of these companies.

Referral fee - We receive a referral fee of up to £40.00 (Inc. VAT) for each completed certificate
Service – Providing a Gas Certificate
Company – Various companies
Declaration – We recommend landlords who are required by law to obtain a Gas Safety Certificate to use the services of these companies.

Referral fee - We receive a referral fee of up to £24.00 (Inc. VAT) for each completed certificate
Service – Providing an EICR (Electrical Inspection Condition Report)
Company – Various companies
Declaration – We recommend that landlords who are required by law to obtain an EICR (Electrical Inspection Condition Report) use these companies' services.

Service – Providing a Legionella Risk Assessment

Declaration – We recommend that landlords obtain a Legionella Risk Assessment to use the services of these companies.
