This week activity levels continued to increase. We welcomed the number of new instructions that came to the market, which is just what we needed to see to satisfy the demand from would-be buyers that have registered to buy since December. This week Rightmove reported that they had received over 1.3 million buyer enquiries since the election, which is a 15% increase compared to last year. They also said that the number of sales agreed has also increased by 7.4%. Within the West Midlands, the average asking price is £230,222, which is an increase of 2.6% compared to the previous month. It has been a busy week this week for us, with lots of positive enquiries throughout our branches. Despite the reliance these days on technology, we received 2782 calls which transpired in too many conversations between ourselves and would-be buyers and sellers about the local housing market.
