My name’s Ben, I’m a recent client to Lauren Clark one of your mortgage advisors at Green and I thought I’d share my experience with you.
My first introduction to Lauren was back in 2019. I’d just had an offer accepted on a two bedroom apartment just over the road from your Great Barr office. With the support of Nichola Halliburton the branch manager, I was introduced to Lauren to arrange the mortgage. I was a first time buyer, someone purchasing on my own and whilst initially dreading paperwork, Lauren made everything seamless; on hand responding to emails quicker than it takes to make a brew.
Everything was signed, sealed and moved in… and COVID hit.
What was to be something to celebrate, a milestone in one’s life to share with friends and family, never became. I realised that, having spent the time working remotely, I wanted outside space and a garden to name a few. A silver lining to the two-and-a-bit years in between then and now was that I met my partner Gemma just before Lockdown. Despite everything that happened, we made it work remotely. We would do things like both press play on Netflix just so that we were watching in sync, or FaceTime one another, iPad at the dining table so we were having a candle-lit dinners together. Gemma moved in just prior to Christmas 2020, I think my exact words were, “Let’s test the water.” She never left. It’s funny how things turn out.
Fast forward to around Q3 2021, I’d just listed the apartment at the very Green over the road that sold it to me and, with the support of Shahzad Saeed at the branch, found a lovely three bedroom detached some five minutes down the road for both Gemma and I. Achievement Unlocked: Joint Homeowner.
When it came to arranging the mortgage, I didn’t have to think twice and request to deal with Lauren again, this time travelling up to your Tamworth office to personally arrange this with her. The whole process was again buttery smooth, with Lauren even arranging a redemption penalty refund with my previous provider, saving me thousands.
If Carlsberg did mortgage advisors, they’d name them Lauren Clark.
